In line with the SU values, club committees should feel empowered.
Committee Training – More comprehensive and in more cases specific to sport clubs – I will organise a Sport Committee Conference
We need to make sure that our clubs are trained in a way that allows them to start strong in the role rather than learning on the job once term starts. We will be training committees before the summer this year to enable everyone to plan over the summer and come back in Freshers Week ready to go.
Finance Systems – I will be the strongest advocate of modernising the SU’s finance systems reducing the reliance on paper forms. Think online banking for your club.
The SU’s financial systems and not fit for purpose we will move as much online as possible and reduce the administration required for committees meaning that they have more time to work on making things better for club members.
Review Office Processes – sport office admin processes are overdue a revamp, improvements will be made such as moving forms online making life easier for committees.
